I'm just curious how many people are aware of it, and if they find it funny??
It is my favorite tv series ever, i think it's hilarious and i adore all of the characters! Im thinking about writing my own script for a series of something similar..
Got to say its nice to see that I'm not the only one who finds it funny. Some random moments when pubbing i quote Neil Morrisey with an " Oh No heavy - trees and flowers dont necessary call you up and go beep in your ear" and i get the strangest looks as no one has seen the scene with him on the telephone.
My best has to be the train trip to the quiz show with Bambi.
Vivian is just hilarious.
Good luck with your script.
I know what you mean Lol. I love vivian!! When i quuote from the series, people just look at me weird, as so many people don't even know about it! They are missing out big time!!
My favourite bit is when Neil makes a vegie garden, and Rick kills him, and then 2 more Neils grow out of the garden. Lol
The next time a dress up party comes up, i'm going as Viv.
I love the surreal humor of the Young ones, I haven't watched them for years.
I love the young ones. Ade Edmondson and Rick Mayall are genius! Their comedy got even funnier in the show Bottom and Filthy Rich and Catflap. They even did a few stage performances of Bottom that toured the country. I recoded them all of the channel Dave awhile ago
Quality series - For some reason, I used to get called Neil quite a lot
Lol well Surfi, You do seem like a bit of a hippie! I get called a hippie all the time, my bf sometimes refers to me as Neil.
Take it as a compliment, i love Neil too, he;s a beautiful character, despite his lack of hygeine!
love that show. do you remember the one when Neil became a policeman?
classic episode, that. The show was great. If done right, a contemporary version would do quite well. Most of us need a bit more levity in life.
Great show, should have been more of them, I liked the one were Vivian got pregnant but he wasn't really as it was a load of wind and he farted and someone lit a cigar and boom they all blew up.
Totally surreal comedy, but good fun, I liked Bottom too, with rik mayall and ade edmonson, twas a classic!
Hi.. Im Neil...heavy, heavy, heavy!
'OMG... I killed a hippy!' 'What am I doing to do? Ive killed a hippy!' lol
Loved it as a teenager, still love it over twenty years later.
I don't think I've ever seen it. I do love Britcoms. My favorite was Allo! Allo!

why is it that British comedy often struggles to impress audiences in the US?

I have finally decided I'm ready to dive into freelancing and am looking for online opportunities. The first one that popped up was Upwork and I'm currently signing up, but thought I'd check and see if anyone here knows anything about them, first. Any info would be appreciated - Thanks!

What part of your body would people look at and be envious of?All too often people, women especially, look at their flaws and assume this is what people notice. It is easy to obsess about a problem area. So let's flip the coin over and look at the opposite side. So what physical feature of yours do...

I just saw it tonight and wanted to trade thoughts. A little disappointed, actually. But Joshn Brolin was brilliant in the title role.
