Do you read movie reviews, before going to see a new movie?
If your answer is yes, do you think that review influences your final opinion of that movie?
I try not to, since I write reviews myself.
However, for movies that had received a lot of flame before screening, I read up minimally to ready myself. More of, what to keep an eye out for when watching.
Sometimes I see them on accident if I wait too long to see a movie.
The review always says the movie is terrible and then I get a little disappointed and then I see the movie and it's always better than the review made it out to be.
Usually if I'm on the fence about a movie, I'll check out some reviews written by people if I trust their taste.
No I don't read reviews before watching any new movie. That can take away all the suspense and excitement of movie watching. Moreover I believe that reviews are personal opinions and I don't want to get influenced by it.
