Do u think they should simply have white people playing Asians in this US making of samurai movie?

47 Ronin is a US remake of a Japanese Samurai movie, inspire by real story. To allow Keanu Reeves' character into the movie, they made one of the 47 samurai to be the son of a Japanese father and Dutch mother, which to the best of my knowledge, non of the samurai in the real story, is half white/half asian (although there is no prove saying it can't possibly be the case either.) In my opinion, we can have white people wearing black hair wigs, not to mention we can have more A list Hollywood actors, this way. e.g. Bruce Will as Hiroyuki Sanada, Natalie Portman as Princess Ko Shibasaki

I think if you're making a movie that's specifically based in Japan involving Japanese people, then you should cast Japanese people. And if you don't want to do that, perhaps you shouldn't be making this particular movie.

There are plenty of actual Asian actors in the US who should be hired for a remake.
