What is one movie you would recommend? Why? Preferably your all time favorite.
I'd like to know if I've seen these movies, and if I haven't, maybe you can convince me to see it (and probably review).
Ha can't pick just one. Here's some of my favorite overlooked gems:
1) Donny Darko, especially if you enjoy mind-bending movies.
2) Kill Bill, but only if you can stomach excessive gore, crudeness, and strangeness.
3) The Descent, if you like horror.
4) The Emperor's New Groove for a more lighthearted and humorous Disney film.
Other favorites include Star Wars, Mission Impossible, and the Dark Knight, but you've likely encountered these famous movies already.
I'll tell you about one movie I saw a long time ago;one that will reach into your gut and squeeze any sense of false self righteousness out of you if it is to be found..."Saving the Franklin's"...Not dirty, not gory, not even any swearing...just extreme human nature and rationalization.
I like spirited away and kimi no na wa.
I'd recommend Breakfast at Tiffany's.
For comedy, Friends with Benefits:)
For something fairy tale like, Mirror Mirror!
If you want something cute, I suggest A Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
Hmm, what else . . . I'm pretty sure there's more but I can't seem to remember. So, enjoy!
The Boondock Saints
Man On Fire
Book of Eli
Man From U.N.C.L.E.
I love the classic westerns. There are many good ones.
1960 Magnificent Seven
1962 How the West was Won
1962 Ride the High Country
1969 The Wild Bunch
1990 Quigley Down Under
1990 Dances with Wolves
2003 Open range
And every remake they ever did of the 1902 classic novel by Owen Wister, Horseman of the Plains-The Virginian. There are quite a few and a television show that ran 9 years.
On reading your question the one that sprang to mind is "Terms of Endearment" starring Jack Nicholson, Shirley MacLaine and Debra Winger.
It always takes me through a gamut of emotions whenever I watch it, even though I know what's coming because I've seen it several times. It has me laughing out loud at times and unable to stop crying in parts. A must see if ever there was one.

Many people have seen a movie more than once. What is the movie you have seen the most times? How many times have you seen the movie? Why do you like it? Who are the stars in it?

What's your favorite movie?I'm a movie buff, and I love finding out about new movies I should've seen a long time ago. I admit my knowledge is limited to the last 10 years for the most part, and as such I haven't seen classics like "The Godfather" or "Scarface", but I...

I just saw Wall-E tonight and loved it, so much that I even wrote started a Hub for it. I plan on seeing Wanted tomorrow, I've heard some good talk about it. However I was really disappointed with Adam Sandler's Zohan and Mike Meyer's Love Guru. The commercials built them up so much,...

I have watched so many movies in my time and it never fails that the first to die is always a black person. Or, is it just me? Has anyone else noticed this trend? If so, why do you think this is?
