"Suicide Squad" director, David Ayer, has been harassed online recently condemning him for his choices to sexualize Harley Quinn in the infamous, "Suicide Squad", movie starring Margot Robbie and Will Smith among others.
They claim Ayers portrayal of hers was beyond sexist, and it got to the point that David Ayer has issued an apology stating how he shouldn't of done that to begin with, and cited he only sexualized her for "political" reasons.
Personally, I don't feel Ayer has to apologize for anything because let's be honest. Part of the reason comic book characters have been iconic and popular for years is because sex appeal.
Seriously do you people think Wonder Woman wears star spangled panties because it's practical during a fight? You think those shirtless scenes in "Aquaman" with Jason Mamoa, and "Thor" with Chris Hemsworth were done solely for artistic purposes? Or what about the scene in "Captain America: The First avenger", when they showed Steve Rodgers being all buff and shirtless, while Peggy touched his chest in amazement? You don't think that wasn't meant to lure the female gaze?
The truth is sex sells, and part of the reason these characters have thrived is partially because of their sex appeal. It's just too obvious to me, but apparently that's not what a loud vocal majority online want, as now Ayer has to apologize for something that he shouldn't have to, and something that isn't political.
Seriously, I weep for the future generations at this point.
Oh please. Margot Robbie's...errr, let's say "charms" were the only thing that made "Suicide Squad" watchable.

Was Suicide Squad as good of a movie as advertised? Did it do the franchise justice or did it fail?

NBC on Sunday decided to cut the words “under God” from the reading of the Pledge of Allegiance that accompanied the beginning of its coverage of the U.S. Open Golf Championship. In fact, this happened twice during the show’s introduction…http://michellemalkin.com/2011/06/19/nb …...
