As some of you might know from some of my previous threads, NATO (national association of theater owners) threatened Universal Studios, when they decided at the last minute to forgo a theatrical release for "Trolls World Tour", and release it onto VOD (video on demand) instead as theaters are still waiting to be reopened.
Needless to say, "Trolls World Tour" was a success, and Universal been releasing some of their smaller films onto VOD and streaming ever since, while waiting for theaters to reopen. The CEO of Universal stated that when theaters reopen, he would like to implement a strategy where films can be simultaneously debut on both VOD and in theaters, which angered NATO even more, with AMC claiming that they would no longer show Universal films at their movie chains once they were allowed to reopen.
However, it seems the very same AMC movie theater chain might be reversing course on that decision, as they seem to have a streaming service of their own. No joke.
From looking at their streaming service, it seems it allows you to watch and rent movies on their site, so consumers can watch the movies at home on any of their devices. And according to some sources, HBO Max is losing the entire Harry Potter series from their streaming platform, and it's apparently going to be on AMC's streaming platform.
Keep in mind, this is the same AMC that threatened Universal over releasing Trolls 2 on VOD instead of waiting to put it in theaters once they reopen, so does this make AMC hypocrites? Or do you think they're starting to come up with plan b in case theaters can't physically reopen? Or is it a bit of both? Please discuss. Also here's a link to their site to check out for yourselves. Enjoy.

Before anyone comments, I would like to address that this is NOT the same NATO that you're probably thinking of. No, there's actually a different NATO that isn't part of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Nope, this NATO represents the National Association of Theatre Owners. ...

According to various sources, Universal Studios has decided to forgo the theatrical release of "Troll World Tour", in light of the current coronavirus situation, and they're instead opting for a VOD (video on demand) option instead, where you may have to pay around 20 dollars for example...

Why do some people begrudge others even when they are doing their best?Sometimes I notice that there is a tendency to criticize people who are good at what they are doing. It seems to me that one has to be doing nothing to criticize and doing something to be criticized. Is this true?
