What Clint Eastwood films are Must sees?

Im a big fan of his most recent films (Director/Actor) , but considering how many films he has starred in spanning a time much longer than Ive even been alive.. what are the absolute must sees?

This isnt research for an article, its fodder for my netflix trial? What should  I get?

I would suggest a couple. " Play Misty for me " and " Dirty Harry "

Thanks! Dirty Harry has a spot of honor on my shelves.

But "Play Misty for me" is new to me.

"Play Misty For Me" is sort of an early 70's version of "Fatal Attraction."

He is amazing in both positions. So I make no distinction

on the western comment: This month I watched all 3 Seasons of Deadwood, so Im a little worn out in that theme smile

and Thanks everyone, Im watching and researching as movies are listed.

As for Gran Torino, its currently in the running for my favorite movies ever, hell, I almost teared up when I first heard Mr. eastwood singing Gran torino as the credits roll! ..

I should add, Westerns are not really my thing (some notable exceptions) and many o fhis most recommended that I find in online lists fall in that category

My hubby is chomping at the bit!  He ADORES all the spaghetti westerns.  Eastwood is watched every time it comes on TV!  It's a house rule, you see. smile

Gran Torino was different, I recommend it to anyone, bit serious and dramatic, but excellent acting.

I think "In the Line of Fire" was one of his better ones but I also liked "The Gauntlet"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Eastwood play the role of
Roddy, (or was it Rowdy)Yates on the TV series  "Rawhide"?
