As it turns out, Mark Rufallo was cast as the new Bruce Banner in the upcoming "Avengers" movie.  Plus, Jeremy Renner was cast to play Hawkeye.  For those unfamiliar with Hawkeye, he's essentially a skilled marksman that shoots people with a bow and arrow.  He's supposed to be like the hot shot bad boy of the team, so to speak.  Anyway, what do you guys think about the casting?  Good bad?  Please discuss.  big_smile

i wish i was wrong about ruffallo, but im not sadly.  the avengers cast was officially anounced a few months back at comic con.  apparently there was a lot of creative differences and contract disputes between edward norton and marvel studios, that they decided to get another actor.  sad to say, but its true.

Its just sad that half of the guy arent ment to play these roles norton ruffalo as banner, venom the guy from that 70's show, the guy whose playin thor is scrawney. I think wolverin, captain america, iron man, spiderman and green lantern were cast correctly.

yep, i don't disagree with you about that.  although chris hemsworth looked pretty buff in the trailers though, so maybe he'll surprise us.

eh no problem.  no worries. i think at the rate x-men are going, i doubt we'll see bishop anytime soon, as i heard fox wants to make x-men first class into a whole new movie series with the x-men, so it might be a while now.  although that would be pretty cool to see him in one eventually.

as far as michelle rodriguez for wonder woman? i agree. she's hot!  i would love to see her as wonder woman....(drools)

They picked a really good guy to play The Hulk in The Avengers movie. I'm sure that Mark Ruffalo can bring that character to life. He is a great actor who doesn't get much credit.

saw the trailer for thor and he's perfect. Ruffalo is really feminine and will make banner look bad! He's bett playing roles were hes the best friend, the guy that trys hard or just the sweet guy.

I think Ruffalo can play Bruce Banner, but does that mean he's also playing the Hulk or are they using another actor?
