Miss USA Rima Fakih Under Fire For Alleged Partying Behavior

Uh oh: Miss USA is in trouble. Not crown-losing trouble, but enough to put The Tiara Patrol on high alert.
According to Fox News, current titleholder Rima Fakih broke rules of conduct when she was suspected of sneaking out to party all night last week -- and then lied about it. The Miss Universe Organization, which rules over its winners with an iron fist, requested security tapes to judge whether a cover-up was in play.

isn't it about time we stop this antiquated pageant and control of young unmarried women's behavior nonsense?...this goes back to when virgins were under control of the elders of the village..beauty pageants are so sexist...
Is she in (potential) trouble for partying or, like our esteemed one time president, for lying about it?
No we need not stop the pageant. To equate virgins control by village elders to a woman that voluntarily signs a contract to act in a particular manner in return for money, fame etc. is ridiculous. There is no parallel.
Beauty pageants are sexist only in that they will only accept participants from one sex (thank goodness!) rather from both. Even that is no more sexist than Hollywood requiring that the actor playing the lead female character actually be female (although Mary Martin in Peter Pan comes to mind).
Well, they will forgive her just like that drunk Miss USA before. Its only having nudes that they will take the crown.
What double standards they have for women when they are supposed to celebrating women.

Did the Senate Judiciary Committee know about the allegations all along? Were they buried in the reports Democrats continued to ask for? Will this be 3 more mulligans?
