You know it's bad when the only conservative on "The View" turns against you! I have it on very good authority (see link) that Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been dissing her former friend.
    Now THAT's news! lol

There's also a video in this article in which Whoopi G is actually quite restrained in her comments. Guess the viewpoints on "The View" are shifting. smile

    Excerpt
...Elisabeth recently accused Sarah of "manipulating" the media to draw attention away from the more-serious Mitt Romney, and mocked her ex-friend's bus tour as another attempt to dominate the headlines. Sarah's decision to roll through New Hampshire on the day Mitt announced his run for the White House clearly annoyed the daytime star.

"If I had termites in my house, I'd get someone in there who could deal with it," Hasselbeck said on 'The View.' "Mitt Romney, right now, his specialty is the economy. I'd have him in there. Here's why we're not hearing it: because Sarah Palin's on a bus, and right now she's manipulating, in terms of media attention."

Before that, Elisabeth also condemned Sarah's "crosshairs" imagery on a fundraising website, calling them "despicable" after Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, one of her 'targets' in the 2010 campaign, was shot during a voter meet-and-greet.

"Elisabeth feels used by Sarah," an insider tells me. "When she needed her, she was all over Elisabeth and now she treats her like a stranger. It's sad."

IDK. Elisabeth isn't the brightest bulb (IMO). But she seems very, very loyal to the things/people she believes in.
Unlike some of the "harpies" on "The View" she strikes me as sweetly naive in a way...

Obviously she is miffed that SP is too busy for her anymore.

I just posted this because I thought it was kinda funny.
Just sitting her waiting for the onslaught of SP apologists.
Hey -- I'm just the messenger here.
I'm not even taking sides on this one! lol

          I noticed.....lol

I was thinking more macabe, like she un-covered something hidden and Palin knows it and backed off, like respect but from a distance.

It is probly nothing like that, but Palin makes me suspicious.

I find Sarah Palin to be very mean, closed minded and racist. She is mostly loved by other closed minded biggots who are not entirely bright. I'm glad Elisabeth is finally seeing her for what she is. I've noticed Elisabeth has been much more open minded lately. I still don't care much for her but at least she's wising up.

What I'm REALLY puzzling over right now is the Palin emails release. Why after almost 3 years of waiting they are finally being released?
And why the price for same has come down from "millions" to something like $.03 a copy, or $725?
    Why now?
    And should we care?
And how bizarre is it that the NY Times and Washington Post have both asked readers for assistance in sorting through them and commenting on the juicy bits.
    That is truly, truly WEIRD!!!

Wow, first Margaret Thatcher's people don't agree to a meet and greet with Palin and even call her "nuts", and now this former Survivor contestant who somehow became the conservative panelist on a show watched by a lot of so-called "soccer moms" criticizes the fact that Palin is desperate to stay in the spotlight.

This 2012 campaign is getting off to a rocky start, and Palin seems to have a very tenuous relationship with the power conservatives she'll need on her side if she wants to get the nomination. I think she's a longshot unless Gingrich drops out and decides to back her. Newt has no chance of winning because his checkered past doesn't play well with women, but he's a fantastic back room guy and his skills as a political philosopher might add some focus to the Palin campaign, which right now seems to just be pandering to whatever group she speaks with. In the age of viral Internet videos, Palin needs to add a lot more subtlety to her pandering.
