Do you think the Balloon parents should have gone to jail at all and if not what should be done?
They wasted resources and generated a hoax that had many people praying and hoping their child was okay. Jail I think is not the answer but rather restitution in a number of ways. Not just $$$. So what other punishments should have been considered.
The kids should have been handed over to Child Protective Services since the parents are douches in search of the next 15 minutes of fame and are willing to exploit their children in order to receive it.
The small jail terms they got were deserved. They should pay back every penny.
