Do you think having children dress uniformly in public schools will end bullying?
My children's school district in enforcing a dress code policy this year to prevent bullying. All kids are required to wear clothing of certain colors and certain types, all without any logos or visible name brands.
Do you think it's had any effect anywhere else?
In my opinion, the clothes people wear is only ONE reason why they get bullied. Children are notorious for finding weakness and exploiting it. What a weaker kid is wearing is not going to stop them bullying him or her.
It happened at my school over thirty years ago - with compulsory uniforms, so I don't think it will have changed significantly, as bullying still exists.
Thank you, I brought up the same thing at the school board meeting. I am just looking for other people's thoughts on this subject.
I'm afraid kids will always be kids. Unfortunately, bullying will exists in one form or another. However, I've heard of kids getting into confrontations over designer duds. Perhaps, uniform dress helps with this aspect.

1. There is no way on earth that all the kids in public schools now could be placed in private schools/homes. There are no where near enough places for them. If you don't provide for all of them...what are you setting the American future up for? Disaster.2. Private schools have waiting lists. If a...
