yes some times they can be not supportive but there is no harm to listen to their point of view and think twice and if you still on your decision just try to talk to them and convince them
I stick with my decisions ... I let my family know that that's what I want .. And that's what will make me 'me', otherwise I'd just be a shadow, and someone else what I don't want to be... !!! I agree with sunshine90 on the point that, one must listen to other's point of views, too, cuz they help, at least some of the times..
