Laurel means 'victory.'  My name hearkens back to the first Olympic Games when athletes were adorned with laurel wreaths.  As an aside, it is not advisable to rest on one's laurels!

My name means "favored grace." I actually read the story of Hannah in the Bible the other day, so it's funny that I see this question. But I had always known it meant grace, but never knew why. It is because in the Bible, Hannah prays to God for a child, and he finally blesses her with one. So the favored grace part makes sense to me now.

My first name means "blossoming" and my second "fragrance" so together it is: blossoming fragrance. Once I discovered the meaning of my names together I really liked them.
