Should a 2 year old have a puppy?

My son loves puppies, my husband says we should get him one but i'm not so sure he's old enough.

It's okay but choose the right one. Good puppy is the puppy has been brought up with its mother.

Sure, as long as everyone knows not to leave the puppy and the toddler unsupervised together. Small breed dogs and puppies can easily be hurt but loving 2 year olds and 2 year olds can be hurt by playful puppies.

It is always better from what I have learned is raising a puppy while you raise your small child. This way the puppy grows up with him or her and they have a good long bonding.

I would think it's fine, I plan on getting my toddler a puppy for Christmas this year, 3 months after she turns 2. I think it's important to have a puppy grow with her, and of course you want to get a type that is known for being good with children and mild-mannered.
