How do you know what a good mattress is for your babies crib?
A good mattress is firm and does not have any sunken in areas. A sheet should fit over it tightly so no fabric is bunched or sticking out. The mattress should also not sink in when the baby is laid down on it. Also looking for any tag or label that proves the mattress to be hypoallergenic is a good thing.
I agree with Mother of Zeno, but you should also check the crib's dimensions and match it with the mattress for a tight fit in the crib. When I bought mine, I looked for fire safety and an easy to clean surface as well.
