I moved out at 16, for my training and that was a good decision. My parent and all my friends supported me.

I was 15. My mum threw me out!
I lived on the streets for a bit and at friends. I was put in hotels in the end.  But I finally had my first proper flat at the age of 16!
She threw me out because i would not look after my brother while she went out and got drunk as she did every night. I was glad she threw me out because my life was hell to say the least x

I ventured away from my parents' home at age 18, returned briefly, then moved permanently before my 19th birthday. The false start was a good learning experience!

I moved out once I went to college at 18.  Your move-out age should be dependent on your relationship, the distance to college/work, maturity level, and your parents' and your wishes for both of your futures.  After all, after 18, you are an adult, and you are in their house.  Respect their boundaries.  :-)
