Has someone ever asked you to give your child up for adoption?
Have you ever had a disapproving friend or relative ask you to give your child up because they consider it untimely or wrong, and did not consider your own opinion about what is best for your own child?
As a child, though, I remembered an older cousin of mine giving her three to four children up for adoption. Her half sister persuaded her it was best for the children.
They lost contact with our family, and once they met their mother they were not very happy or proud.

If you were giving a child up for adoption would it be in the child's best interest to go to a relative or to someone unrelated to you?
