During or after the fact? During -- it's self-preservation, that person or me...and I'd do everything in my power to make sure that I'm the one still kicking in the end, no matter what I have to do to achieve that. After the fact, assuming I survived (well...obviously if I didn't, too tongue) then let the law take care of them, see how they do in prison.

I would certainly defend myself. If my assailant can be restrained without killing him/her, so be it. But, if I must kill to defend myself, I'm ready for such an event.

Testify against them in court.  Vigilantism isn't the answer to anything.

While they are trying to kill, I'd do my best to defend myself.  Of course.

Natural reaction will be defending yourself. First rule of defend will be running away whenever you have the chance. If not, then you have to find something around you as a weapon to defend yourself.

Matters the situation.  Are my children there etc.  What is the persons state of mind.  Do they seem capable?  Is it personal, passionate, or is the motivation identifiable?

If no one dying were plausible, so be it.  If I need to kill someone to defend myself and/or my family, then I will do what is necessary.

I would press charges and have them locked up.  I don't believe there is ever a legitimate reason for killing/trying to kill someone.  There are times when we all WANT to, but you'd have to be pretty far out to actually go through with it.

I would have thought the answer to that is simple and obvious...GO TO THE POLICE !!

Well our natural response is to try to defend ourselves from getting killed. But fighting back to live in one thing, killing that person attacking you is not the answer either. Defend youself, escape the situation and then contact the authorities.

kill them first if i could. if i couldn't then i might use the police as a way of stopping them from trying again but that would depend on who they are, why they were trying to kill me and who else was involved.

I would follow the lead of Edmond Dantes and become my own version of the Count of Monte Cristo.

I hope I'd be able to do what Jesus did... Pray for them just before they succeeded.
