Until a couple of months ago we often went out for rides. (Then we started having car problems and the fuel prices went up.)  It was so enjoyable to go to places we hadn't been before.

Our family tends to take rides around the Christmas season.  We hop in the car, drive around, and look at all the pretty lights.  So, I guess they aren't completely gone.

Not for my family; we enjoy riding around, talking and listening to music in the car.

Just yesterday my two granddaughters, one of my daughters and myself went for a ride through a nature reserve and saw several deer, wild turkeys and birds.  The girls laughed, pointed and even screamed with laughter.  The three year old said we were in the forest, but she could not understand why there were no kangaroos.  Our family rides are more expensive and have lessened but they are still good quality family time.
