To what ends?
For things like registering a car I think it is about a month.
It also depends on whether you are legal. To get instate school fees if you are American Its about a year if you are illegal its about 5 minutes.
Enter the same question into Google for all the different flavors.
Once you rent or buy a home, or establish a mailing address, you are a resident. It is this way, nationwide. ( I never renew my Drivers License until they expire, no matter where I am , or how long I have been there.).........but , I do get mail, so I am technically, a resident.
Knowing small towns, quite well, you may always find yourself being the " newcomer". This happens far less in larger cities such as Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, etc.......
A resident is someone who resides ( or lives there).

Some people they keep the cooked food in the fridge for nearly 3days. I do not like such food , and I insist them not to keep cooked food in fridge. How do you see? Is it the right way? or how days you are keeping the cooked food in fridge?
