Is your family prepared for emergencies such as tornados, hurricanes, ect?
With today's outbreak of tornados in Texas, it's never to early to be prepared for the unexpected.
Actually, not really. I am somewhat informed on what to do in case of a tornado but we really are not stocked up on the essentials.
We're "kind of" prepared. We live at the beach, and we sometimes have to worry about hurricanes, so I keep all of our important papers in a large freezer bag and our family photos in another. I also keep a little sandwich bag of first aid supplies. Additionally, we always keep a little water and canned goods in our pantry. Thank you, God, we haven't had to use any of our stash, but it's nice to be kind of ready. There are so many other things we could do, but we usually wait until there's a warning before we really think about it. We do have an evacuation plan in case we can't contact each other, and though we don't have human children to consider, we do have two furry children to evacuate. If I did have human children, we'd definitely do the drills--no matter how much they complained!
