I watched my grandson shoot baskets in the swimming pool yesterday into a floating hoop from about six feet away.  The two balls he used were 1/2-size and 3/4-size basket balls and the hoop was about as high as he was while standing on the step of the pool and not all that large.  He hit about 30 - 40%.

That depends - does athleticism run in your family? Two of my four boys could perform quite athletically (hoops, batting, one even running at pace right off - uninstructed).  I was happy to see their abilities.  My husband has athletic ability, and I suppose that's where they got it.  The "performance" levels were unexpected at such an early age.

Not unless you consider beer drinking an anthletic contest.
