What do you call your Mother?
Here in the south, many of us call our Mothers "Mama". What do you call yours?
Mum..............................................................
Ok, this answer could be a number of things.
But on a typical day I call her "Mom".
I am "Mom" to my older three boys and "Mommy" to my youngest.
Mom..............and sometimes some little nicknames we have for her.......I like to bring a smile to her face!
I call mine 'Mum'. However if I'm trying to get her attention, I resort to 'Mother'.
Mama or mom works here too. Have one friend whose 9 year-old calls her mom or Osha, pronounced "ahshah." He just up and out of the blue started calling her that.
I called my mother "mother" for as long as I can remember, although I am sure that I called her "mommy and mama" at some point during my childhood. "Mother" just felt right to me and it was my choice. I don't remember ever hearing her request I use another name, except when I called her Maxine, which was her name. That was a no no.
I always called her Mama. My kids call me Mom, and mama, depending on what they want - and they are adults!
I have always called my Mother, "Mom." I love this question by the way.
Mum. Or, if I'm referring to her and my stepfather - Ma and Pa. If I'm in a silly mood, or want something - Mummy!.
And I'm 30!
I call my mom " ma" and my children call me "mummy" or "Mi" or " om-mah" . In korea, "Om-mah" means mother. We are korean craze.

An early morning sun pushed its formidable rays through the window and onto the face of a little girl. Her freckled face wrinkled a bit as she resisted the urge to awaken, in the distance she could hear the rattle of dishes being washed. Slowly her bright blue eyes slid open to reveal the front...

My mother passed away last week she would have been 93 on the 5th of May. It seems strange not to pick up the phone and talk to her. She was suffering so we were glad to see her go to be with my Dad but also sorry that she was gone.
