How can a child be stopped from repeating a bad habit?
Is punishment the only method or is there any other solution to this?
Kevin, despite what the main stream will say, I have experienced that allowing older kids to make the mistake and suffer the consequences as well as the younger by discipline is the only productive way in the long run to bring lasting changes.
once, my son had the bad habit of holding his penis that I had to shove off his hands or lightly beat his hands but he kept holding onto it. I told him that his penis would not drop off but that doesn't work either. For the next 3 months, his hands were no where near his penis . I think it is season. Punishment doesn't work. Maybe constant reminder or let it be?
