How easy is quitting a bad habit? What If it happens to be a long time one?
Some bad habits prove to be fatal, but due to its addiction quitting becomes next to impossible, if it is a long time one, then the difficulties further increases, so what's the way out?
Depends on the person, and the habit. I recently celebrated a year and a half without tobacco. I'm pleased that I've been able to make it stick so far, because I've tried to quit many times in the past and have always gone back.
Quitting a bad habit is easy if you can find a good replacement. The trick is to make sure you replace it with a habit you like or will like just as much or more than the bad habit and to avoid stress. Relaxation and regular exercise reduces cravings for unhealthy things. Of course it will be harder if you are suffering strong withdrawal symptoms.
Excellent. But what do you say about the habits that are related to one's unhealthy traits? what would be the replacement for jealousy? or greediness for that matter? Anyway illuminating answer for eschewing bad habits pertaining to material aspect.
