    What can be done to reduce the rate of homeless children in America?  Why do you think this happens?

    Yahoo reported;
    SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The number of homeless children in the U.S. has surged in recent years to an all-time high, amounting to one child in every 30, according to a comprehensive state-by-state report that blames the nation's high poverty rate, the lack of affordable housing and the impacts of pervasive domestic violence.

    Titled "America's Youngest Outcasts,"  reported Monday by the National Center on Family Homelessness calculates that nearly 2.5 million American children were homeless at some point in 2013.

    What can be done to resolve this problem? It takes a village.

    I'm sure some of what is in the report contributes to this problem.
    However more often than not it comes down to people making "bad choices". Among these are not completing an education in a career that is in demand, establishing a career path, building a financial nest egg or "emergency fund", getting married to someone who is responsible, (Before) choosing to have children!
    Cutting off contact with family (parents, siblings, aunts/uncles, and grandparents). is a mistake.  Don't burn bridges!
    Anyone who has family should always have a place to stay.
