I've stumbled upon a truth so powerful it cannot be denied. Of all places, I was watching some TV show and one sentence utter by an actor opened my eyes for the first time. After 34 years of raising five sons I feel I am qualified to attest to the truth of this statement.
"God gives us children so that death won't be such a dissappointment."
Irrefutable truth but I welcome all arguments.
I think it is a bit of a far leap to credit the basic life drive of every organism - to reproduce - as a god given gift just for us. while I am able to agree the sentiment attributing it to a god just for us is mind-blowingly self centred.
Oh my God! You use the twisted logic of Two-and-a-half-Men to set your philosophical mindset??!
I think we both need to monitor our tv-watching better! haha
You got it! I honestly didn't think anyone would catch on. Congratulations Ms. Brenda. You, are a genius. I was wondering how long this thread could go before someone caught on.
haha I'm simply a woman who, since we down-graded our cable service, has fallen into the trap of picking some bad shows from amongst other bad shows! Never thought I'd get tired of Glenn Beck, but since he's ignored a major issue, I think I've heard all he has to say.
Brenda, Congratulations on your response!
By the way, I truly believe God gives us children so that we will be both Blessed and challenged to be unselfish! What do you think?

OK, it was only an old bloke sitting with his wife outside Priceline in the local shopping centre. I smiled at him and his good lady as I passed, and he asked.... "Don't you write about cars on the Internet?""Yes I do" I beamed." I read your article on the BMW 5 series...

I was pleasantly surprised when I logged into HP this morning and found that my most recent hub has been tagged with the "Editor's Choice" icon. Yay! After all these months with no EC nods, I was starting to wonder if I'd offended the Powers That Be somehow. ("Could it be my...

On Easter Sunday I finally hit the million views checkpoint. Took a long time to get there, but it was nice reading the email HP sends you on reaching this accolade. This is a good time to thank the staff at HP, no one ever says it enough - they are doing and have always been doing a great job here.

I have worked really hard to improve and cull my articles for some time now, and finally...finally...I have made it to payout in one month! This is without ad money...just the HP program! What a great feeling!
