I was pleasantly surprised when I logged into HP this morning and found that my most recent hub has been tagged with the "Editor's Choice" icon. Yay! After all these months with no EC nods, I was starting to wonder if I'd offended the Powers That Be somehow. ("Could it be my breath?")

If someone out there nominated me for the EC tag... thanks.

You can nominate your own hubs? That doesn't seem fair. Anyway, good for you Freddy. All good things come to he who waits!

Hello, fellow hubbers . . . .I am editing text of my hub .. . but could not change the title. How do I change the title? I clicked text . . .but the title does not appear . . so I could not change it! Help~

This is totally off topic, but what the hell...

When you're in "edit" mode on your Hub, click on the title itself and you should be able to change it...

Unless you're talking about the URL of the hub itself, that's not change-able.

Thanx folks. Nice to finally get noticed. After months of reading forum posts from peeps saying they had 10 Editors Choice, 20 Editors Choice, etc., I was starting to feel like Charlie Brown when he goes trick or treating ("I got a rock.")!

You can nominate your Hubs for EC if you want to.  Just go to the form:
      https://docs.google.com/forms/d/16MOW8K … I/viewform

Robin E. said it was fine to do that.  (I opted out of the program.)

You can nominate your own Hubs? Seriously? That just seems so... cheesy.

But apparently the staff doesn't think so.  They even appreciate your pointing out your own best Hubs because it is taking so long for them to go through the entire site.  Besides, other people are recommending their own Hubs.  If you really want more EC Hubs, why not nominate some of yours?

That's wonderful news! I have 139 hubs on here, many which were very popular, and only got two EC hubs. I found it very disappointing.

You'll have to tell us if it brings more traffic. I opted out when it was first introduced. Lots of people are reporting different results.

It's showing a blue arrow this morning ( sad )so if I'd have to hazard a guess, I'd say it hasn't made much difference yet. Haha

It's been a few weeks since I was allowed to get on the Editor's Choice train so here's an update...
My first Hub to get the EC nod is  chugging along nicely, and is still picking up views at a decent clip. I'm pleased.
However, most of my older Hubs that have been EC'd since then haven't benefited as much. Every day they might pick up one view here, two views there, but aren't performing any better than they would have without the EC designation. I thought they'd get more of a bump.
Make of that what you will, I guess.

        Hi FatFreddysCat,
Congrats on your run of Editor's Choice hubs. It seems to me that it would improve traffic if people could tell which hubs are chosen as "EC". As it is, there is nothing that distinguishes our favored hubs from an outsider's perspective or from the inside. (Unless, of course, one studies the URL.)
        Maybe that's coming.
        Hopeful,
        Peg

Congrats on your EC hubs! That's great! I have 2, but when it first began, my arrows were BLUE on them, so I opted out for 2 months. I opted back in, but still see a blue arrow on each of them, instead of a red one. So it's good to have our writing recognized, but I have doubts about whether I got more traffic out of it. I suppose I will keep in for now. Anyway, happy you are discovered.

I've now got two "Editor's Choice" Hubs... one of my older entries somehow mysteriously achieved that designation when i wasn't looking.

They must review authors rather than only individual hubs. I imagine it might be a combination of both. Pretty much all of mine that weren't idled became EC as soon as it rolled out, and I believe the other AP grads were reviewed early, too. I haven't heard any of them complain about not getting EC, at least, and a few of us are still in touch elsewhere.

A few more of my Hubs have been EC'd while I wasn't looking... I'm now up to 10. Woohoo! Feeling the love. big_smile
