When my son smiles at me just before he closes his eyes to sleep
How my son smiles when he watches Michael Jackson's Bille Jean
Laughs when he watches special agent Oso
Does a "P" sound while he is doing a fart or poo
I saw a friend's Facebook status earlier and her small child is learning the Pledge of Allegiance. His version ends with "and justice for frogs".
When my daughter was little, she was learning a lot of the lyrics to songs in the movie "Grease". There's the one that John Travolta sings when he and Sandy are at the drive-in movie and starts out..."stranded at the drive-in, branded a fool". This is the way she said it, "Stranded at the drive-in, Brandon, (paused and said, I know Brandon) a fool.
Just thought of another one my daughter did. It was the song, "When You Say Nothing at All" by the late Keith Whitley. The line is "if ever you fall" and she said "a feather fall".
When they skip with big grins.
Listening to children play and laugh on the playground...pure joy!
When they discover something new.
