   I'm working late, and answering angry emails combined with endless moderation has got me down.  I'm trying to concentrate on the little things that make me smile.  I thought I'd start a thread so I can keep checking back and getting a fix of positivity while I plod through some more spam.
   
   I'll go first:
   
   I just got some new purple and white plaid laces for my quad skates.  Makes me smile.

      YES! Reminds me of arguing with my parents when I was a wee girl about why I couldn't have a soda every night with dinner if they could drink beer.  Makes me smile.

      it makes my heart skip a beat.  I visited a nursing home, and this elderly gent of 83 was holding hands with a lady about his own age.  I asked the carer if there was a romance going on.  It turns out they are a married couple, been married almost 60 years.  That sure does make you smile.... i had tears of joy

   Reading some of my daughter's facebook status...
   Looking for Mr. Right...I have found Mr. Rude, Mr. Wrong, and Mr. Player, but not Mr. Right.
   You are only as strong as the table you stand on, the drinks you mix, and the friends you roll with.
   I am currently making some changes in my life, if you don't hear from me, you're one of them.
   And lastly, the one she made up for my profile...
   Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it's better to be completely ridiculous than absolutely boring.

    Maggie, the sun coming up in the morning makes me smile.   My bees flying to and from the hive, make me smile, my fruit trees starting to bud, really makes me smile.
    I know about working late and dealing with upset people, and when you realize how strong you are to deal with those issues, you will smile even bigger!

    I feel you on that, had a long day with clients, being.. well.. clients...
    
    what gets me through the day is the thought of my family, the fact that I can pick up the phone and call them at any time and know that they'll be there to support me! All the other nonsense is truely meaningless when you consider how fragile life is, you then realise what is important, those who care about you!
    
    So smile is the fact that out there, there is someone who loves and cares about you

       Your dog looks like my dog!  I agree...my dog makes me smile, especially when she's been happily rolling in the dustiest patch in the yard and then gets up and shakes from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail!

    It's funny how a lot of people immediately think of animals in this respect. I am no exception. I remember a couple of years ago turning up on my Mother's doorstep with my suitcase at a very difficult time, to see her new puppy for the first time. I took the photo below within minutes of meeting Robbie. That day, I could hold him in the palm of my hand (he was less than eight weeks old.) Now? I would need a block and tackle to help me lift the great (but still lovable) brute!

    Seeing the end result of angry emails and constant moderation slowly give way to positive forum posts, Hubbers earning a penny or six and support from the community flowing much more for HQ, writers and Hubbers. The light is shining at the end of that tunnel, some just don't quite see it yet.

    Old PJ's and 1980's movies on a Friday Night-wrapped up in my grandmothers blanket...
    Smell of clean laundry...
    My kids talking and helping one another when they think no one else is watching...
    Actually talking and being myself with my parents...
    Singing in the shower...
    Hot Wings and Ranch Dressing...
    Fitting into a size 3/4 when I have been a 5/6 since I had kids...
    When my husband tells me he is proud of me...
    When my parents say they are proud of who I have become...
    My kids faces every time I pick them up from daycare (they jump up screaming-saying MOMMY-MOMMY- I MISSED YOU-I LOVE YOU!)
    and about a million other things...
    ****what can I say- I have much to smile about
