Indian Tandoori Chicken Cooking Recipe
Ingredients-
Basic Ingredients-
- · 1 whole chicken (800 grams)
- · 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- · 1 tbsp. Kashmiri Chilli powder
- · Salt to taste
Ingredients for Marinade-
- · 2 tbsp. ginger paste
- · 1 cup yogurt
- · 2 tbsp. garlic paste
- · 1 tbsp. Kashmiri Chilli powder
- · Salt to taste
- · 2 tbsp. butter for basting
- · 2 tbsp. mustard oil
- · ½ tbsp. garam masala powder
- · 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- · ½ tbsp. chaat masala
- · Onion rings & lemon slices to garnish
Preparation Method-
- · Make incisions with a sharp knife on chicken’s thighs, legs & breast.
- · Apply mixture of Lemon juice, Kashmiri chilli powder & salt over chicken & keep it a side for ½ hour.
- · For marinade, tie the yogurt up in a piece of muslin & drain over a bowl for 15-20 minutes.
- · Add chilli powder, salt, garlic & ginger pastes, lemon juice, garam masala powder & mustard oil to drained yogurt.
- · Rub this mixture over chicken & marinate for 3-4 hours in a refrigerator.
- Thread the chicken onto a skewer & cook in a moderately hot tandoor or a preheated oven (At 200 C) for 10-12 minutes, or until almost done. Baste chicken with butter & cook for another 4 mins. Remove & set aside.
- Sprinkle chaat masala powder & serve with onion rings & lemon slices.
