Quiche Elegante is a very rich and superior recipe, that you are sure to enjoy.
I like to use a nice baking dish to make my quiche , one with a pretty fluted edge. If you don't own one I have provided links to Amazon. However if you wish you can just use a regular old pie pan, it will taste just as good as the fancy pan. You can even cheat and buy the store bought pie crust..I do that a lot also.....You can follow the recipe below to make this quiche....

Ingredients For Quiche Elegante
- 1 Onion, Chopped
- 1 tablespoon Butter or Margarine
- dash Thyme
- 1 BayLeaf
- 5 slices Bacon, Chopped
- 5 Eggs
- 2 Egg Yolks
- 1 cup Half ans Half
- dash Nutmeg
- 1/3 pound Swiss Cheese, Shredded
- 1 Pastry Shell

Instructions For Quiche Elegante
- Saute onion in butter. Add thyme and bayleaf. Remove bay leaf.
- Cook bacon until crisp and then drain.
- Blend together eggs, yolks, half and half, and the nutmeg.
- Place the bacon, onion, and cheese in the pastry shell. Cover with the egg mixture.
- Bake at 350 degrees 35 to 40 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
