    Coconut water is the clear water that you get from the fruit.  On the other hand, you get coconut milk when you grate and squeeze out the juice of the meat.

    Hi Thompsonpen 
                              As every one said coconut water is the natural water inside the coconut .we will get the water when we break the coconut.
    Grate the fleshy part inside the coconut and add some hot water into it, then squeeze it to get coconut milk, which is an essential component of Indian cooking.

    Coconut water is seen inside the coconut when you open it. Tender coconut water is  the best to drink when you feel tired. Coconut water is sweet in taste and colorless.
    while grate and and squeeze the inside thick white part of the coconut, you will get the coconut milk. It is white in color little sweet in taste. This milk is used to prepare some curry dish as well as to prepare pudding also. 
    When you boil the coconut milk you will get coconut oil which have nice smell. This oil is good to apply in head, which will to grow dark and lengthy hair for woman. This also use in curry dishes.

    The basic difference between coconut water and coconut milk is that:
    1.   The coconut milk is made by grinding up white coconut flesh and pressing out the liquid.  The  coconut meat has a very high fat content.  So, the milk of coconut is also very high in fat and calories. It is proved that 1 cup of coconut milk contains about 550 calories, and most of them from fat.

    2.  On the other side, coconut water is a fluid seen inside in cavity of coconut when you open the coconut. There is no fat content and so it is very low in calories and 1 cup of coconut water contains  about 50 calories and most of them from natural sugars. Apart from this, coconut water also contains minerals such as potassium and magnesium and it is also proved that the coconut water contains more potassium than in a banana!

    The benefits of coconut water is that it helps in  muscle performance, Kidney cleansing, weight loss, energy, natural hang-over cur, mental acuity, skin, hair & nail health, heart health, and stress reduction.

    Yup!  Just got back from Mexico where coconut is very big business.  Stands are all around full of coconuts waiting to be bust open just for the coconut water.  Very refreshing and in expensive as a consumer!  Makes me wonder what they do later with the coconut itself!  Sure they process and sell that too!

    Also, if you refrigerate canned coconut milk and let it separate, you can spoon off the top and whip it just like you would heavy cream for a great non-dairy substitution from whipped cream. smile

    Coconut milk is usually a lot sweeter, which is why I like it; I used to drink up to five cans per day! Until I realized how unhealthy it was, haha.

    Coconut water as the names suggests is the clear fluid that you get from the coconut when the outer shell is green.. you simply cut the shell open and voila!  The coconut water is said to be good for replacing fluids if one is dehydrated as it is considered to be an excellent source of potassium.

    The coconut milk on the other hand is  produced through a process of blending or grating the dried coconut, and adding a small amount of water, then straining through cheese cloth.  The milk when boiled makes coconut oil.
