Raw chicken shouldn't be placed next to any other foods, to prevent cross-contamination.

Agreed with the other two, raw chicken can be a hazard in the kitchen. Also, NEVER put raw meat next to veggies, because veggies can be eaten raw and don't need to cook as long leaving germs alive and kicking on them. I like to buy miscellaneous small mixing size bowls in all colors from garage sales, etc. and put each ingredient in a separate bowl.
