What is the safest way to preserve fresh meat without chemicals?
Deep freezing i guess..it will inhibit all microbial activities below zero degrees.
In the Australian outback on cattle stations they often salt their meat, which preserves it for quite some time. It is great to be able to take this out on stock camps. You should be able to google a recipe for salt meat.
Food preservation predates refrigeration, the two most common ways of preserving meat, prior to chemicals, was salting and smoking.
