What is the most important aspect to becoming a great home cook, or Chef?
Love of food and eating whether you want to share or not.
To do it professionally? I usually discourage folks because it's HARD WORK, long hours, low pay, no holidays and usually, you work with people who have issues.
All I will say is I think it is something that you really like to do, it hard work but very rewarding so alll in all keep it professional and do it right ....good luck.
Keep an open mind. Don't treat recipes as rigid instructions, only as guidelines from the experience of others. Experiment, try new things, learn to make something good out of whatever you find on hand.
be passionate about what your doing..cos even do your good at one thing if you don;t have this burning passion to do so..you gonna lost the magic!!!..feel everything..and smile doing it..like you can even turn on the radio and play out loud songs you like as you peeling some potatoes or slicing tomatoes or onions..im like that..take cooking as fun and cool.. hahahaha...im not a chef or maybe a good cook..but i love cooking and it brings out the best in me ...and i don;t know but i love cooking hahaha..but i more like eating hahaha
