    What's your favourite pancake topping?

We've just finished eating our pancakes. I don't like to miss out on pancake day just because I don't live in England!! Normally I'm a lemon and sugar topping kind of girl, but tonight I ventured out of my comfort zone and tried hot pancakes spread with nutella, topped with sliced banana, vanilla icecream and flaked almonds. Very naughty, but oh so nice!!...
I was wondering what naughty and nice toppings other people try?....

Great question!  We are having pancakes for dinner.  I always put apples or blueberries on my pancakes with a little butter and a small drizzle of maple syrup.  I cook the fruit in water with a little cinnamon while I make the pancakes, then add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken into a sauce.  The fruit is naturally sweet, so I use a little maple syrup--yummy guilt-free pancakes!

Butter cinnamon and sugar but then we always like straweberries and whipped cream as well.  We also do peaches which confectioners sugar. It is awesome.

Love the question but now i am hungry:(

I like it simple and traditional - lemon juice and a sprinkling of sugar

A few weeks ago my partner and I went out for breakfast and had pancakes with Nutella and crushed pecans on them. It was delicious. I think it may now be my favorite pancake topping.

Pure maple syrup, but not too much. Just enough to make the pancakes sticky.

Never heard of lemon and sugar topping - I'll have to try that next time we do pancakes.

Here are some of the toppings I grew up with:

    Jam
    Maple syrup
Corn syrup (for those who find maple syrup too sweet)
    Peanut butter and maple syrup
    Nutella
    Cinnamon and brown sugar
    Strawberries or other fresh fruit

Naughty topping: Hersheys melted chocolate with confectioners sugar

Nice topping: Fruit topping with crushed nuts or almonds.

I love Golden Syrup or Maple Syrup for the ultimate Canadian style pancake, or just plane old lemon and sugar.

P.s. England is horrible this time of year, would much rather be in Greece smile
