Use egg whites that are at room temperature until they form peaks. Add a little sugar. Spread over the pie. Bake at about 350 for 10 minutes or until the meringue is browned. I wrote a Hub on how to make Lemon Meringue Pie in the microwave. Complete instructions are on my Hub.
The key is beating the egg whites until well peaked then spread thickly. Mary's instructions are good for adding sugar and baking. Egg whites do best when beaten in a glass bowl rather than stainless steel.
When making no bake lemon meringue pie, would you put in the freezer for faster results?I just tried making it for my sister and when putting it in the fridge, it took a while. So I put it in the freezer.
