Do you teach your children how to prepare meals and snacks?
I have a 20 year old and a 15 year old, both boys, and I do teach them how to prepare meals - when they ask - which, believe it or not is quite often, especially when they want to make something special for their girlfriends! They'll make good husbands some day!
my son is now 31, but I taught him how to cook when he was just a little guy. The first thing he made by himself was macaroni and cheese and I still have the photo of it...socks pulled up to his knees, baseball cap on backwards, and he could just barely see inside the pot...so cute! He loves to cook now and tries different recipes all the time. I think it's important to instill basic skills...like cooking and cleaning for yourself.
