Do people still eat peanut butter like they use to?

When I was a kid we looked forward to pb and j(peanut butter and jam sandwiches). With all the nut allergies what is the favorite for your kids now?

Nothing more enjoyable then a double decker peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, being consumed by my grandsons and me. Still a favorite!

People are eating more almond butter and cashew butters.  However, try buttering your bread and toasting the bread then spread peanut butter , sprinkle with cinnamon and add slices of banannas.  Great breakfast with decaf tea.

I used to eat peanut butter constantly...not so much anymore. I'm not sure why I stopped. Maybe I ate it so much that I got sick of it? I still always have loads of peanut butter in my apartment though, because I use it as a treat for my dogs.

Economically I think peanut butter was used because of price, filling, and healthy…now it cost too much, too many calories watchers, and there is too much other stuff around to choose from.

But I love a good messy PB every once in a while.

Try peanut butter -mayo-and lettuce that is my favorite. Thanks to everyone for all the great answers.
