Is there any way to get rid of unfavorable smell and flavor from mutton ?
I like mutton but not the smell and strange flavor it has. Is there any way to get rid of this unfavorable smell and flavor ?
Adding masalas in the mutton will help. In India, we add onion, garlic, ginger and garam masalas --- a combination of black and green cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper etc., to the mutton, while cooking it. As a result the unfavorable smell is gone and it tastes great.
Thank you very much for your great answer, ChitrangadaSharan. I'll try that tips.
spices, spices, and more spices. Lamb is not as bad as mutton as far as smell goes, so if you like sheep meat, try switching to lamb instead.
Yes, I think I should put more spices. Thank you for your answer, tussin.
I love the smell of mutton, it's one of my favourite meats! Although if you don't like the smell it does tend to infuse into your house.
Yes, there's no accounting for taste, right ? Thank you for your answer.
