   If you like fondue, what is your favorite type of fondue and what are your favorite dippers for it?
   
   Our New Year's Eve family tradition is to have a fondue party. I always make a cheese fondue and a chocolate fondue. My kids and my husband and I love it and since we only have it once a year, we go all out! What kinds of fondue do you like and what are your favorite foods to dip in it?

   I love traditional cheese fondue with bread or veggie dippers. Another idea is satay sauce served as fondue with grilled chicken dippers. It's delicious. Adding hazelnut liqueur (like Frangelico) to chocolate fondue is an easy way to change up a traditional recipe.

      Mmmm.... sounds great! I ended up adding a little Amaretto to the chocolate one I made. Will have to try Frengelico sometime! Thanks for the suggestion!

   Chocolate is my favorite by far, but once we tried tiny pieces of beef in a hot oil fondue and that was yummy too.

      I definitely need to keep my fondue set out and try some of the hot oil options soon! It has got to be over 15 years since I did it!

   I like the beer and cheddar mixture with crusty bread.  I could eat that often.

      Beer and cheddar - that sounds great! I'll give that one a try sometime, too! I usually just use several kinds of swiss and some white wing and a little kirsch, but the cheddar is a definite try! Thanks for sharing!

   I love a white chocolate fondue using mashmallows, honeycomb and just to be healthy strawberries as dippers.

   I love hot oil fondue with good steak and shrimp.  Dipping sauces?  Ketchup/mayonnaise mixture is always good.  Or, just straight up light Asian soy sauce!
   
   I was reading responses and having a white chocolate fondue sounds good!!  I will have to try that next!

      It has been ages since I've had a hot oil fondue. I think the last thing I ever did was new potatoes with some kind of breading on them. I will have to try the steak and shrimp! Thanks for the suggestions!

   I like cheese fondue made with beer instead of wine.  Wine gives me a headache sometimes and it can make the fondue too sweet for my taste.  Crusty bread is my favorite thing to dip in it, but kids like chicken nuggets and other finger foods.

      I've never tried it with the beer, but I will have to! Crusty bread is one of my favorites, too. I bought two loafs of cuban bread and one and part of the other completely disappeared with the fondue! Thanks for sharing!
