How long is coffee ok to drink after brewing?
I am wondering, my Aunt told me once it did not keep a long long time. Please give info.
At some coffee shops they throw the pot of coffee out after 20 minutes. I on the other hand will drink the brewed coffee for hours after it's been made.
Should have said so, wondering if it is not good to drink after a while, for health reasons. thanks for the comment.
Depends on what you mean by a "long, long time."
In terms of taste, it's usually a good idea to drink it soon after brewing. The longer it sits and the longer it's heated, the worse it tends to taste. I usually finish a pot within about 2 hours or so at my house, sometimes 3.
In terms of going bad, coffee left out on the counter for a long time can develop mold. This depends on local environment, but anywhere from a few days to a week should be long enough to see some mold floating in the coffee. At that point, I think it'd be safe to say that it's no longer safe to drink.
Wow, I heard something once about how the caffeine breaks down from my Aunt, that it would hurt a person, this mold business is serious!!!!! I am glad you told us this!!!!! TY Tty
I usually make a pot of coffee in the morning and have a cup. Then at night I heat up what is left in the pot and take it to work with me. Usually if I have any left over I just dump it down the sink.

Some people they keep the cooked food in the fridge for nearly 3days. I do not like such food , and I insist them not to keep cooked food in fridge. How do you see? Is it the right way? or how days you are keeping the cooked food in fridge?

If you pour a cup of coffee before the pot is finished brewing, is that cup going to be stronger?....or is every cup within that pot taste the same? It's kind of a Zen-esque coffee question for the caffinated Hubbers out there.

How long do you take on average to write a hub. I mean the whole process, research, writing etc. What would you say is the average for you?
