      I like both especially this time of year. Mixing strawberries or blueberries in a garden vegetable salad is really refreshing! The vinegar tends to bring out the sweetness of the fruit and it makes a great summer time combination!

      I love tomato salad with tuna.  I love a greek salad.  Barbeque ranch chicken salad is really good too, but very bad for you.

         usually folks from Canada are more familiar with the quebecoise culture here  - it's not really salad - inside Canadian joke.  it's french fries with gravy and cheese - but the french people here seem to know the best way to make it.  It's good - but very, very fattening...And some fondly refer to Poutine as Quebec Salad.

    There is a salad in Indonesia called Gado-gado, it's basically vegetables (spinach, cabbage, sprout, water spinach, cucumber), fried tofu, boiled egg with peanut sauce. Love it

    I can't resist...word salad.  I remember studying schizophrenia in college and the jumble of words they sometime display is called 'word salad.'
