         If I wear rubber shoes and am dry, how bad of a shock will I get, if I were to touch
         1) a 120V live wire
         2) a 240V live wire

   are virbators that are charged with an electrical cord more dangerous to use in the bathtub than battery operated alternatives?

      If you have to resort to vibrators to satisfy your woman(i assume it is a woman you are trying to satisfy) then maybe you should visit some more appropriate hubs.
      P.s its not a good idea to mix electric with water.

            Apologies Dense.
            The thread was started in a genuine attempt to provide answers to RELEVENT questions.
            I am getting to grips with this HP stuff pretty quickly after much goading from cyber members.
            I can take a joke as well as the next man but please dont take hold of any live wires be they 110v or 230v.

               Maybe I was a bit er .. aggressive looking without putting on a smilie just now.
               The reason why I asked the ques was I was once told by an electrician that it is alright to hold a live wire as long as certain conditions are met but I don't remember what the conditions were. Or whether he was BSing me -_-

         YES!  You see, no debate required.  You nailed it with your opening salvo.
         
         Although, to be serious for a moment, which I do try desperately not to do generally, the heart of your question as I read it is the term "meaningful."
         
         I can understand how the bit of an assault your opening forum posts have received would put you a bit on the defensive. It's really not a matter of altruism, it's just that as a community of writers, we see TONS of people pop in, dump forum posts with varying degrees of effort spent to disguise that they have zero interest in being part of the community and only want to draw attention to either a direct link to their business or to a hub they wrote (often just copied from elsewhere) that points to their business.  As a community of actual people, with time invested in one another, some folks get annoyed by that, feel used by it.  The Greek One likes to be used, but many don't.  I admit that some of us may jump to the conclusion that something is rotgut spam before it finished playing out because, well, we get so much rotgut spam on here.
         
         So, as a community, we do tend to descend like jackals (do jackals descend or is it more of a skulking thing?) on anything that whiffs of spamminess.
         
         If in fact your intent really is to get to know folks and be part of HP, you'll see that we are really nice for the most part.  I mean, I'm not, really.  I'm sort of a sarcastic jerkface type.  And the Greek One up there probably just wants to hit on you.  There's a troll with a sort of Scream the movie icon that might try to get you too if he finds you.  But everyone else is really nice.
         
         So, if I've misjudged you, do forgive me.  And if not, well, now you know.

   I would like to buy some electrical tools for my personal use to repair some electrical appliances. But i would like to get them at cheaper prices. I have seen an Electrical Store that provides me many options and the prices are also reasonable but i would like to have some suggestion that do we have any other store that can help in getting more competitive prices or should i go ahead and purchase from them. It would be a great piece of advice.

      Dont know where you are from aspenmathew (is Aspen by any chance)
      In the UK screwfix and most diy stores stock good reasonably priced tools.
      These are your best bet unless yo are looking for specialist branded tools for professional use.
