What Is The Possibility Robots Can & Will Replace Humans?

   It my sound science fiction now but look at all we take for grant today that's controlled by a computer chip, Cars, Airplanes, Ships, Missils, Credit Cards, Toys and the list goes on.
   
   Japan has at least 2 interesting robots. Asimo,- walking robot like a butler.  Saya-that looks human actually proivides teaching to students.  Check out this link:

   Maybe not today but perhaps tomorrow we the human race will be obsolete?  What do you think?

      Don't worry.  This planet was made by God.  If He had wanted it to be inhabited by robots, He wouldn't have made us humans.

      that's kind of hard to say to be quite honest.  on the one hand, as long as none of this end of the world crap comes true, then it's certainly possible machines could end up taking over the world.  as advanced ai and robotic engineering continues to evolve.  however, there's also a possibility we could become machines ourselves eventually someday.  i don't know if you ever seen ghost in the shell or not, but it points out a possible future that COULD happen if you stop to think about it. 
      
      it mentions a world where humanity upgrades themselves by replacing some of their organic parts for machines to either prolong their lifespans.  a parapalegic could get his legs replaced with mechanical ones, and walk again.  a paralyzed comatose person could live a somewhat normal life through a full prostetic body.  the only downside to this society is that memories could be manipulated due to the fact that everyone in this type of society has partial robotic brains.  therefore, there's would be no way to know what you think is real is.  however, that's definitely a possibility, as we ourselves could become more like machines to prolong our own life cycle.

   Robots have already taken the place of humans in many instances to perform dangerous or redundant or complex and repetitive tasks. However, robots will never take the place of humans.

   Having worked in robotics and AI before
   moving to law enforcement I think it's not
   very likely at least not for literally hundreds
   of years.  We just can't duplicate the human
   brain nor the synapses required to duplicate
   human balance, coordination or movement.

   I know people have this idea of where we are in robotics but I've been following technology for a while now and I can't keep up with the advances it's making.
   
   There use to be a robot on the internet but I don't think it's on the internet anymore, I've looked for it everywhere, I don't think it was suspose to have been put out but this thing moved and act just like a human.  If firing an automatic rifle the article said it was designed for combat and if you saw if from a short distance you would have thought you were looking at a human.  It jumped up on cars, jumped down to the ground and the article said it is being designed to be on patrol without human control.
   
   We don't know what's not being shown us in technology.

   Personally I can't wait to be replaced by a robot. Then I'll be free to go and be someone richer and more interesting instead. I'd be more worried if one day they turned around and said "we don't want to keep replacing you anymore, we're off to do our own thing". That would be scary.

   Human can never be replaced by robots, human made computer and gave it intelligence. A robot will only gets the intelligence which person who made it, gave it to work in that way. You can say robot is helpless without human.
   Robots don't have senses, to make them sensible it very hard to do. we got 6th sense, but robot got the orders and the logics which have been given by human who build that robot. if 1000 people worked on making a single robot, then it mean the 1001th human brain cant be beaten by robot. 'cause human's thinking power is so dynamic and very strong.
   Well see in near future what robots can do for human

   I'm not discounting what you've presented here askpowers still factories have removed a number of humans not just those which are harazdous but those which are also productive.  Not as many telephone operators are need since robots are a part of automation, car mechanics have dropped in numbers because of this automation, it is predicted that doctors in the future will have robots traveling from room to room taking vital signs of patiences while the doctor's face is projected onto a computer screen that way the can converse with their patiences even though they are miles away.
