Just checked the account and we are having a blue triangle morning.  Is it something we said?  Why can't the HubPages genius team think of something consoling for these down days?  A little note along the lines "cheer up it won't last" might ease the pain.

I have previously posted threads highlighting that weekend are blue arrow days.. I call it the 'Weekend Blues'..you can always post a few links around bookmarking sites if you want them to go away! smile

I too am enjoying lots of blue triangles today, 2patricias, so I feel your pain!

It's the second 'blue triangle' day in a row, although the total number of views has jumped by about 40%.
Our most popular hubs have held steady, but the 'middling' ones are still suffering a dip.
    Why does this happen?

Don't know why it happens, but I always find that my traffic slows over the weekend.  However, this week it has been slower since about Wednesday.  I suppose the only answer is to keep on writing!

Me too!!!! Your right CMHypno, the only answer is to keep on writing.  Don't be pressured into posting any old rubbish though.  I ignore the down days when I'm concentrating on editing a new hub.  Mine take ages before I can publish.  Weekends can be weired.

Today is Saturday, so I expect to have blue triangles tomorrow morning.
Saturday is almost always the worst day for us on Hubpages and also on our own website.  This is especially the case if the weather is good.  Here in England we are having a wonderful day of sunshine.  On balance I'd rather have the sunshine than a whole row of red triangle.

I agree with you 2patricias, this kind of sunshine in England is too precious to waste.  I have just been sunbathing in the garden, reading my book and soaking in the peace.  After all there is always our long cold winter for obsessive hubbing!

Those little blue beauties are definitely a weekendly occurrence for me.  Somehow I find them motivational, and usually end up publishing quite a bit more on weekends than during the week.

We have always tried to publish new Hubs on Friday.  (You will notice that this doesn't happen often as we are HubPage Slackers).  However, this really doesn't make sense.  It would probably be better to work out the day we get the most views.

You have a great attitude. I also find them motivational.

Yes blue triangles for me as well.

This weekend is long weekend in Canada as it is Victoria Day on Monday and Memorial Day in the weekend in the US.

I did see this thread earlier today and thought the title quite poetic. Willie Nelson is good, but I'm thinking Bob Dylan.

So, 2patricias, when are you writing the song? smile

BTW, all of my triangles are blue as I write, not a red in sight.

I think you're right. it would make a great Bob Dylan song!

Paul Simon's Kodachrome also comes to mind. Amazing the images set off by "Blue Triangle Morning."

Hmm, as I write, I have two red triangles.  Should I do the happy dance now or later? smile

NOW, before they turn blue.  smile

If I get 2 views on one hub, I get a red triangle. If the next day I get none, blue triangle. Days go by with zero views and I get no triangles. Then I get one view, and a red triangle!! I dont thnk triangles have alot to do with actual views but its more a percentage thing. maybe?

Thanks Trish!  I'm going through a bit of a blue patch right now (blue generally, not just triangles...) and the mental picture of your cute little cat doing a happy dance made me smile!

Pat is definitely a Willie Nelson listener, although when Tricia rides in her car she is forced to join in the listening.
Tricia's a bit more Paul Simons.

As of this evening we have 2 blue triangles and one red.

We think it is really a trends thing.  Our all time top hub usually has about 10 views per day - and almost never gets a triangle.  (That's our hub that is about pedicures but is mistaken for porn.)  It's the Hubs that fluctuate without a pattern that get triangles.

here's a nice little song to kill those blues. the video is done by an artist/photographer and this particular song may just help kill some of those blue triangle blues.

such a beautiful song by Allison Krauss and Robert Plant.

As of today we have a balance of blue triangles and red arrows.
Only a few - most are in neutral although our total view numbers for the day has increased since the weekend.

Traffic has improved again, and all is well with the world!  However, the sun has gone in and it is once again grey and windy!  Dilemma - hot, sunny summer or good hubpages traffic?

On the evidence of the past few days, there is an inverse correclation between the weather and blue triangles.
This morning we have a good crop of red arrows - and outside the sky is very grey and it looks like rain.
