Are Men Obsolete?

Has anyone read: "The End of Men" from the most recent Atlantic Magazine?

    Link: http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/arc … -men/8135/

A critical response to this article from the Nation "Women on Top?":  http://www.thenation.com/article/36605/women-top

It seems gender rules are changing for men and boys. The evidence is in the workforce and management positions now dominated by women; the evidence is in our schools where more young women pursue degrees than young men, and the evidence is in the fundamental structure of our family relationships. This is an excellent article, albeit long, that deserves reading.

    What do your think?

      Are Men Obsolete? No.

Men, like Women, have value to the overall health and wealth of the entire civilization. The main problems- (a) ego, (b) greed, (c) lack of knowledge and wisdom, and (d) choice ignorance.

Just my thought on it. smile

I followed the first link but it kicked me offline.   Reckin there was some butch woman there with thick 2-inch high heels that didn't like a non-feminist showing up?   hahhaha

But even without reading the articles, I can safely say NO men aren't obsolete.
They're just....under the thumb of the feminism movement and the gay movement, and they need to rise up and start taking charge of themselves (control their own actions and do right) and then take charge of the leadership again including keeping a strong hand on focus of the military,  be REAL MEN with love in their hearts and strength in their minds and hands.  That would do a lot to strengthen our nation.

"Are men obsolete?" and "The end of men." are both malphemisms for better prospects for women in both the corporate as well as working world.

I think it is great that there are more opportunities for women.
However the language aforementioned, keeps the polarization from ending.  We often don't describe ourselves by our individuality but by our gender, age, political affiliation, etc.

Men have behaved much worse in the past. I am happy there are better prospects for women.

Perhaps a Real Man may be nearing that status. All those men who are out their cheating are not in my mind a real man. They are the ones resposible for destroying the America family and causing single moms who are giving birth to 41% of the infants born today. These cheaters should be very proud of themselves.
