You make 10% of the revenue made by people who sign up through you referral tracker. This hub should explain.

Thanks for answering my question.  Once they click on the url tracker where do they go to sign up for hubpages (since it refers them to my site)?

Also, is the money made from the url tracker posted somewhere else?

Monies from referrals isn't posted anywhere.  Unless you are adept enough to do your own math by tracking your earnings in AdSense and then calculating how much isn't coming from your specific Hubs, you won't ever have numbers for that.

Do you know where they go to sign up once they are referred to my site?

I haven't done this in a while, but I'm pretty sure this is the procedure. Go to My Account > URL Trackers. You should see a tracker code their. That is the code that you use to make sure that you get credit for referrals, etc.

Create a link that looks like this:

              http://hubpages.com/_YourTrackerCode/user/new/

Make sure you put the underscore before your tracker code.

Anytime someone clicks that link, they will be taken to an HP signup page. And because your tracker code is in there, you will get credit for the referral in the amount of 10% of the revenue generated by them here on HP.

                http://hubpages.com/my/tracker/brieshubpages

So this tracker would not work?

And this one too...my default tracker?  It doesn't have an underscore in it.

That's the one hubpages gave me.

Ok, I think it's working...when I sign out (the key was signing out) and then clicked on the tracker url it put me into the sign up page for hubpages.  Thanks for all your patience.  It's been 2 years and I never understood exactly how this worked...sigh!
